Basically, the bottom line for me is that
I would not do anything I didn’t want to do just for the money. If it makes you
feel lousy, it isn’t worth it. I wasn’t going to do anything that made me
feel bad, it was pretty simple really. Most strippers don’t draw this line,
most of them do private shows that definitely are prostitution. I have to believe
their self-esteem suffers from this, or maybe it was already low and that’s why
they agree to do something they’re really not into. The line between stripping,
private shows, and prostitution might be blurry, but the line between feeling
good about yourself and feeling bad about yourself is very clear, at least to
me.

Good character information. It's nice to know a man's limits.
ReplyDeleteThis really tells us a lot about him.
ReplyDeleteGreat snip. I especially love that last line! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the self respect and inner strength he shows here.
ReplyDeleteLove the last line. Draws me right in and makes me wonder who in this story is experiencing which side of the line--and how that will play out.
