I was always good at thinking on my feet. When
I was bullied as a kid I was pretty good at talking my way out of it.
“God, these other dancers are so messy,” I
said out loud. “Such pigs. Jeez!”
I gathered up a handful of them and threw
them in the trash. I got right outside the front of the closet and grabbed the
last few, and as I stood up from picking them up, I quickly grabbed the door
and slid it open. I nearly jumped out of my skin.
There was the creeper, hunched over,
looking right at me.

This is going to be an awkward conversation! At least, I hope it's just conversation and that the creeper isn't dangerous.
ReplyDeleteI can't give away any more but this is just the beginning...
DeleteNice development! Can't wait to see what happens next.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I can't give away any more of this scene, it would be a definite spoiler and is a favorite part of the novella according to some of my readers & reviewers.
DeleteSo who is the creeper and what does he want?
ReplyDeleteHe is a "fan"...I can't give away any more of the scene or it would be a spoiler.
DeleteIntriguing!
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to what the MC is picking up--I thought it was the dancers at first lol ;)
So did he...
DeleteEww, not a good situation. Very tense
ReplyDeleteThanks!
